Students in Mrs. Hodges' class at Apalachin Elementary School finished a project where they had to create a product to sell at the classroom Farmers Market. They developed a business and marketing plan, researched supplies they would need, how to request a “loan”, and how much they would need to sell to pay back the loan and make a profit! By the end, they all had products to sell, set up a booth, dressed professionally, practiced making change, and ran a fun classroom Farmers Market!

Tuesday, June 11th was a day to celebrate our graduating class and all the different paths they will take after graduation. Pictured are just some of the OFA seniors showing their pathway of college, serving our country, starting a career, or embarking on other adventures!

On Saturday, June 8th, the OAMS Band and Chorus competed in the Music in the Parks Festival in Bethlehem, PA. Each group performed 2 selections and received high ratings and comments from the judges. Band took 3rd place in their division Chorus took 1st place and received an award for highest overall score Our students were also collectively awarded the very prestigious Esprit de Corps Award, which is only given to one group at the festival, regardless of level/age. According to the Music in the Parks Festival, "The Esprit de Corps Award recognizes the participating organization that displays an exemplary attitude of positive support and outstanding personal behavior throughout the festival weekend. Personal integrity, quality character values, a desire for excellence, and a spirit of cooperation serve as the cornerstone qualities of the Esprit de Corps Award." Both groups had outstanding performances and the students should be applauded for their hard work, and dedication, and for representing the Owego Apalachin Central School District so well!
