Dear Owego Free Academy Families,
As we head into the Regents testing season, which begins tomorrow, Tuesday, June 9th, please review the information below.
June 9th & June 10th - Regents Only Days At OFA
Due to the large number of students taking the early New Framework exams, we will hold exam-only days on Tuesday, June 9th, and Wednesday, June 10th.
Who should attend: Only students scheduled for an exam, or those explicitly asked to come in for a review session or to make up work.
Who should stay home: If your child does not have an exam or scheduled session, they will NOT attend school on June 9th or June 10th.
Note: The remaining Regents testing days will resume on Wednesday, June 17t,h and run through June 23rd (June 24th–26th are Rating Days only).
Transportation Details
Busing will be provided for all students who typically require it. Please note the adjusted timelines:
Morning (AM) Exams: Students follow their regular morning bus schedule. A departure bus will take students home at approximately 12:00 PM.
Afternoon (PM) Exams: Students will be brought to school by 12:30 PM. They will take their normal 3:20 PM bus home.
Note for PM Students: Your bus driver will call you directly to communicate your specific afternoon pickup time.
Testing Extensions: Any student who requires extra time past the scheduled bus departures can secure a ride home by contacting the Bus Garage at 607-687-7305.

Apalachin Elementary School just made history! Our incredible fourth and fifth graders have proven the power of a dedicated community by raising a spectacular $8,800 for the American Heart Association during this year's Kids Heart Challenge.
But the excitement doesn't stop there. This year’s spectacular effort officially pushes AES past a lifetime fundraising total of $205,100 since the school first launched the event in 1993!
Here is how they did it:
Throughout February, students jumped headfirst into learning about proper nutrition, daily exercise, and hands-only CPR.
The campaign culminated in a high-energy, 90-minute jump-rope event where students showcased serious endurance and even outlasted some of the AES staff!
To honor this amazing dedication, representatives from the American Heart Association and GHS Federal Credit Union visited the school to officially present AES with a brand-new CPR Kit and special goodies for the kids.
