OFA REMINDER: The Senior Car Parade from Apalachin Elementary to Owego Free Academy is tonight, Friday, June 13th.
The parade of the Class of 2025 will depart Apalachin Elementary School between 5:45/6:00 pm.
Local emergency service agencies will help with traffic control and provide an escort for the parade that proceeds onto Pennsylvania Avenue in Apalachin, left on Main Street, left on Route 434, right on Marshland Road, right onto Route 434 near Lopke, right on the Hiawatha Bridge, right onto 17C (Front Street), right onto Court Street, right onto Main Street, left on North Avenue, left on George Street, and then right onto Sheldon Guile Boulevard.
The parade will end in front of Owego Free Academy.
The community is welcome to line the streets and celebrate with the graduating class of OFA.

It’s time to celebrate the year in athletics at Owego Free Academy. The 2025 Block O Sports Awards are tonight, Thursday, June 12, at 6:30 PM in the OA Theater. The doors open at 6:00 pm. On Tuesday, June 10th, Dr. Uday Mukhlis, OFA Associate Principal, and Tom Westcott, OA Career Center Coordinator, presented at the NYSDOL in Johnson City to the Southern Tier Regional Business Services Team. They discussed the role AI is playing in education at Owego, how it's being used, integrated, and future trends. Part of the discussion focused on AI use in career development at the OA Career Center.

The OFA track team will be participating in the NYSPHSAA Championships this Friday and Saturday at Middletown High School.
On Friday, Stella Palladino will be running the 100m dash, Gavin Heath is competing in the 800m run, and Jaelyn Chrysler will be participating in the 3000m run. On Saturday, Jaelyn Chrysler will be running the 1500m.
The meet begins at 1:00 pm on Friday and 9:00 am on Saturday. Tickets are $12 and can be purchased through GoFan.
