The Owego Apalachin Central School District is committed to a mission
that is to challenge students, within a caring environment, to become
confident, competent, contributing citizens with a lifetime thirst for
learning. To this end the district has embraced a vision that calls for
Success for all Students. The district has a comprehensive high school
(Owego Free Academy) program, supported by the Owego Apalachin Middle
School and Apalachin and Owego Elementary Schools. A staff of over 400
individuals support the district's mission and vision. There are 2300
super kids that attend our schools.
Our Community:
Owego is located in eastern Tioga county on the banks of the Susquehanna
River. It is an area that is rich in tradition and history. The village
of Owego serves as the county seat and has a wide range of cultural, musical
and artistic opportunities available. Owego is a convenient drive to many
of the larger cities of the region. Approximately 23,000 residents live
in the school district. The village of Owego has 6,200 citizens. Route
17, a major expressway, runs through the area. Owego is a good place to
raise a family with a warm community atmosphere.

School Board Meetings
The School Board generally meets on the second and fourth Thursday of
each month, 7:00 p.m., Adm. Building, Board Room, 36 Talcott Street
