Rachel's Challenge:
Two Programs on Monday, December 8 * Student program in the morning * 7 p.m. presentation for the community ---OA Theater (OAMS auditorium)--- We are honored to welcome Dana Scott, Rachel's sister, as our presenter of this important message. Please join us for a special evening that will allow us to start a chain reaction that will change the fabric of our school community. Owego Apalachin schools present: Rachel's Challenge Rachel’s Challenge will be shared with students at Owego Free Academy and Owego Apalachin Middle School, as well as parents and community members on Monday, December 8. OFA and OAMS students will be witnessing this message during the school day on December 8 and there will be a community presentation at 7 p.m. at the OA Theater. The evening event is free and open to the public. Rachel Scott was one of the students killed at The family of Columbine victim Rachel Scott presents a powerful program illustrating the importance of helping every student to feel connected to his or her school community. Through Rachel’s writings and actions, they challenge students to be pro-active and “start a chain reaction of kindness and compassion in their schools.” Rachel’s Challenge is a program that INSPIRES, INSTRUCTS, and ENABLES students to bring positive change to their school atmosphere.
