Holiday Drives at OA
OAMS FOOD and PAPER DRIVE The Owego Apalachin Middle School student council has started its annual food and paper drive to benefit Tioga County Rural Ministries. The drive began November 17 and will run until December 10. Donated items will be presented to TCRM during the OAMS morning assembly that day. Students bring donated items into their homerooms, where each of has a collection box. The homeroom that brings in the most donations will receive a pizza party. Over the last three years, OAMS students have donated more than 3,600 items to TCRM. This year, Hamlin is coordinating the drive again. Teachers are asked to bring in coats, gently used sweaters, sweatshirts, scarves and gloves and drop them off in Hamlin’s room (221). Children’s and adults’ clothing will be collected. Last year about 25 coats were donated. More information: Jim Hamlin at hamlinj@oacsd.org |
